CHAIRMAN'S ANNUAL REPORT for the year 2004 (30.12.2004)

Winter marks the end of another year; it is time to, once again, review our work done in this past year.

The year 2004 has been one of the most hectic and eventful years since the establishment of the Foundation many years ago; superceding the number of projects and places we visited. In terms of constructions, facilities in already-supported schools have proved to be inadequate due to the growing of pupils. Thus, facilities such as function rooms, multi-purpose buildings, new dormitories and classrooms must be built and environments must be improved in areas including but not restricted to Guangxi, Jiangxi, Shanwei, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Anhui Province. New projects include five in the immense prairies of Inner Mongolia, seven in the remote deserts of Xinjiang and one in Qinghai Province from which the three largest rivers of China originate. We have covered places from south to north, from central China to the far west, and have left our marks at such places. Despite the frantic schedule, we have certainly gained some new life experiences.

I hereby briefly summarize this year's work.

In January, Vice Mayor, President of Educational Department, and Headmaster of Warm Current Secondary School of Jinchai, Anhui paid us a visit to report their plans to enhance education quality in Warm Current Secondary School, a demand from the Foundation. That same month, the President and consultants from Shanwei Yat Fai Foundation Hospital visited to inform us with the progress with the hospital's construction of a multi-purpose building and with the purchase of medical equipments.
